In August 2023, I published an article titled “Hallasan Hike” for Detroit-based risograph studio, Taxonomy Press. I wrote about my experience hiking Hallasan (Mt. Halla) on Jeju Island, South Korea, in June.

Every season, Taxonomy prints its “Floral Observer” newsletter, which highlights all things plant-related, and was initially inspired by Rachel’s Master Gardener Training class that she was taking at Michigan State. The Summer 2023 issue was subtitled “Bring the Heat,” and my piece was featured alongside others that covered such topics as going on flower walks, taking long bike rides through nature, foraging, and plant profiles.
